AWOL!

Yes! I have been "Away WithOut Leave"

I wonder what happened? :) Why did I stop blogging? Well I have no answer to my questions.

So many things have happened. So many things are happening. So many.

Anyway, I decided to clean the accumulated cobwebs here and . . .

I am also thinking of merging my blogs into one. I believe that way, I would be better co-ordinated.

Howdy!

Long time no blog! I have been busy. Busy doing . . .  Whew!

I want to do some clean up on my blogs . . .

It is almost Christmas. In fact it is thirteen (13) days to Christmas! I am seriously looking forward to this short break. I will leave the hustle and bustle of this "city" called Lagos and go to a more serene and calm environment. I would go to a place where I am sure of some FRESH AIR and less noise pollution. lol!

Merry Christmas!

School Matters...

It's been three weeks since my Little Dee! started school. Contrary to my expectations, she is adapting fast (well). At least, she does not whine or cry while she is getting ready for school! Yes o! She really looks forward to school. Everyday, as I walk into the house, she welcomes me with so much excitement ready to tell me what happened in school! I thank God for this o!

Education is a vital tool in the life of every human being! Although it does not matter when an individual starts school, it is VERY important that every human being gets the basic form of education. That is why I do not understand WHY a parent would deliberately deprive his/her child/children from going to school!

Knowing to read and write would make things a lot easier for all. Education is an essential key to success in life.

DStv - Pay as You Watch?!

I like to watch quality, entertaining and educative programmes on television (when I have the time). Before the era of DStv in Nigeria I was subjected to the programmes aired on a few TV stations. Sometimes, I also buy some films to watch.

Somewhere along the line, I mustered the courage to subscribe to DStv. I was pleased! Yes, I WAS pleased! I have been a faithful DStv subscriber for many years! Right now, I am NOT so pleased anymore! While I have no issues as to the quality of the programmes on DStv, I however have serious issues with their mode of subscription. Well, I am not satisfied with the service I’m getting from DStv! You see I am subscribed to the full bouquet but I only watch approximately 40% of the total paid as subscription as it is impossible to watch the TV 24/7!

Right now, there is NO ONE in my house and so no electrical appliance is on. Even after my kids return from school, they are not permitted to watch TV until after doing their homework. The TV comes on around 5pm (if PHCN permits). The TV stays on till 10pm on a normal day. Weekends, when I amin the mode, I watch till 12am.

Right now, my subscription has expired and I have no intention of renewing it! I mean, it is not fair, DStv should do something FAST! Maybe, I (and I want to believe many other subscribers) would be happier if DStv subscription is done on a “Pay As You Watch” basis!

DStv do something. . .
