When I heard this news, the first question I asked myself was - "Whose blood are we talking about here?????" WHY on earth is he still holding on to power? Na hin get the Country?! For crying out loud, this guy has been in power for over 40 YEARS and still counting!
This man known as Gadhafi actually called on his own supporters to attack the protesters! In his words: "You men and women who love Gadhafi ... get out of your homes and fill the streets . . . and attack them in their lairs."
This guy even referred to himself as a fighter and he says he will die a MARTYR!

Agege Bread!
Agege bread needs no description as it is very popular especially in Lagos and its environs. I believe this bread originated from the Agege area of Lagos State. I remember when I used to travel by train to Jos those days, as soon as the train makes a brief stop at the Agege station, we (my friends and I) MUST buy some loaves. Back then, Agege bread was a master piece! The bread had various impressions on them, adding to the “beauty” LOL!
I love Agege bread . . . but I do not eat it as frequently as I would have ordinary loved to. This is because Hubby feels Agege bread is not prepared under proper hygienic conditions! See me see wahala o! Na today? Bread wey I don dey chop since even before I know am!
As if to buttress his point he once showed me a lady cleaning Agege bread with a piece of cloth before packaging. Well that would not deter me o!
For years, I have been eating this Agege bread and nothing do me 0! You see, those days, as a child, Agege bread was the loaf known to us then. Even when “oyinbo” sliced bread began to flood the market, Agege bread was the in thing for us (and I believe most people then).
I still remember once when an Uncle came visiting and gave me and my siblings some money, I told my mother that I’d like to eat Agege bread with “ewa agoin” (Togolese beans). The next weekend, I asked her to give me my money (50 kobo) so I could buy the bread and beans. . . LOL!

Rascals?!
Recently, at the PDP campaign in Oyo State, President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan was reported to have said:
“We must take over all the States in the Southwest. The zone is too important to be left in the hands of rascals.”
Rascals? That is a very HARSH word. The first thing that came to my mind was maybe Mr. President was quoted out of context. I waited for a rebuttal, but I got none! Did he actually say that? If he did, well the guy fall my hand big time! I suggest that ALL politicians, particularly those vying for elective positions should focus on positive objectives and watch their utterances. They should deter from using abusive or derogating words on their opponents!

INEC Registration!
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Registration of voters took off with some hiccups on the 15th of January 2011.
Prospective voters complained that they spent hours waiting to be registered and this discouraged others who chose to come back at a later date. One man told me when he went to register, the INEC official gave him a number and asked him to come back to following day! The reason for that, according to the man, was that the registration process takes as much as 30 minutes for one person, so in order not to keep people waiting in the sun
for too long, they are advised to come back the following day.
Another person who attempted registering was informed that the DDC Machines have been rejecting peoples finger prints! This even happened to the former President Obasanjo, whose finger prints where rejected by the DDC machine several times while he was registering. The Senate President, Mr.David Mark also experienced some difficulty in registering.
News have it that in Oyo State, 4 out of the 32 DDC machines needed for the registration exercise were declared missing. When these machines resurfaced, it was discovered that about 2,000 fictitious names had been fed into the machines! How far would these bad elements would go to have their way! Hmmmm!
No matter what, I WILL register, so I can vote. I know my vote will count!
Nigerians, please lets all go out and register. Vote for the Candidates of your choice. Do not sell your votes.
